Slick Banana Slicing Trick

You know, sometimes making the quantum leap is difficult.  I’ve had this slicer for several years, but only used it on mushrooms. 

One day, when I was thinking ‘banana’ I was considering the problem people have with getting even slices. The wires are ¼ inch apart, perfect for slicing bananas and other fruits. Consider using your cheese/mushroom slicer on bananas the next time!

Last night I tried this on peeled cantaloupe. I quartered the fruit and seeded it. Then tried this gadget on it. Worked just fine.  Perfect and consistent slices, all 1/4 inch thick.  Should work on any kind of melon.
