Using a Chef's Knife - Video

Here is a short demo on how to safely use a chef's knife.  I use mine for almost everything. It slices, dices, and minces with ease.  I use this all the time, except for those occasions when I use my mandolin slicer.

Overview of steps:
  • tuck fingers underneath
  • snug knife blade (not edge) next to knuckles
  • press down and slice forward
Do not chop!
