Use a sweater drier!
- In a pinch, you can use all sorts of equipment to dehydrate.
I first bought mine when I was making a lot of pasta and
needed a clean place for it to dry. Then
I set them aside and forgot about them for a while. The other day I had a bit of Basil to dry and no dehydrator space
available. So I pulled out my sweater/pasta drying rack and set it up.
These are rally inexpensive, only a few dollars, and they
work just fine.
Use them with:
- Herbs and leafy greens
- Veggies
- Fruits
- Cooked pasta
I would not recommend air-drying meats. They need 140
degrees to eliminate the risk of botulism.
