Last night I tried this on peeled cantaloupe. I quartered the fruit and seeded it. Then tried this gadget on it. Worked just fine. Perfect and consistent slices, all 1/4 inch thick. Should work on any kind of melon.

Slick Banana Slicing Trick
You know, sometimes making the quantum leap is
difficult. I’ve had this slicer for
several years, but only used it on mushrooms.
One day, when I was thinking ‘banana’ I was considering the problem people have with getting even slices. The wires are ¼ inch apart, perfect for slicing bananas and other fruits. Consider using your cheese/mushroom slicer on bananas the next time!
